CARTIER Ronde Ref.878089 18K Yellow Gold 1980's

COMMENT

COMMENT

The Cartier Ronde, a design that continues to be celebrated in modern times. The case is crafted from 18k solid gold, featuring a design that highlights sharp edges. The slender 24mm cylindrical case and flat bezel create a stunning visual appeal. The simple yet sophisticated Roman numeral dial, paired with pencil hands, is a distinctive feature of this model. The white dial with Roman indices and minimalistic black printed hands gives the watch a refined, clean look.

The case is in excellent condition, free from any dents or noticeable signs of use. The sharp edges of the lugs enhance the overall refined impression. Upon close inspection, there are some tiny spots on the dial, though they are hardly noticeable under normal use. The hands are in excellent condition, with no peeling or damage to the black print. The indices are well-preserved, ensuring clear legibility. The watch has been completely overhauled at our workshop.

The name "Ronde," meaning "round" in French, reflects the essence of this design. With Cartier's iconic cabochon crown and dial features, the watch maintains a simple yet sharp aesthetic. While 24mm may seem small by modern standards, this size is currently on-trend, and the mirror finish of the case enhances the overall elegance. When worn, this size feels just right and showcases the beauty of the design.
