チューダーのバラサブ Ref.7928は、1959年から約10年にわたり生産されたモデルです。前機種7924より2mm大きい39mmケースを採用し、オリジナルのロング5ベゼルを装備しています。製造期間が長いためバリエーションが多岐にわたりますが、本モデルはマーク5ダイヤルを特徴とします。ダイヤルの文字はホワイトプリントで、外周のミニッツはギルト、チャプターリング仕様です。6時位置にはT SWISS T表記が見られます。そして、20mmのリベットオイスターブレスレット Ref.7206、エンドリンク80、クラスプコード4/66を装備しています。

ダイヤルは「トロピカル」と呼ばれるブラウンチェンジを遂げ、濃いブラウンカラーが自然の織りなす魅力を放っています。気になるようなダメージはなく、夜光塗料はベージュトーンがしっかりと残り、ヴィンテージらしい深みのある味わいを感じさせます。ケースは小傷が歴史を刻むように点在する一方、痩せは見られず、サイドの平面が美しく保たれています。ロング5ベゼルのインサートはフェードによりブラックからグレーに変化しており、トロピカルダイヤルとの調和が見事です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

外装と防水性能がロレックスと同水準で製作されたバラサブは、当時の技術力の結晶ともいえる存在です。ツールウォッチであったことからも、60年近く経過してもなお、これほどまでにコンディションが整い、経年変化の妙が際立つ個体を見つけることは、非常に稀と言えるでしょう。

The Tudor Rose Sub Ref. 7928 was produced for approximately a decade starting in 1959. Featuring a 39mm case—2mm larger than its predecessor, Ref. 7924—it comes equipped with the original Long 5 bezel. Due to its extended production run, this model boasts a wide variety of variations. The present example is distinguished by its late Mark 5 dial. The dial text is printed in white, with gilt minute markers encircling the outer edge. The "T SWISS T" marking appears at 6 o'clock. Additionally, it is fitted with a 20mm riveted Oyster bracelet (Ref. 7206) with 80 end links and a clasp stamped with the code 4/66.

The dial has undergone a "tropical" transformation, now exhibiting a rich brown hue that exudes natural charm. There are no significant damages, and the luminous material retains a beige tone, offering a depth of vintage character. The case features scattered small scratches that reflect its history, but it shows no signs of thinning, with the flat sides maintaining their sharpness. The Long 5 bezel insert has faded from black to gray, harmonizing beautifully with the tropical dial. The watch has been fully serviced by our team.

Manufactured to the same standards of water resistance and exterior durability as Rolex, the Rose Sub stands as a testament to the technological prowess of its time. Given its role as a tool watch, finding a piece in such exceptional condition—showcasing the artistry of natural aging—nearly 60 years after its production is exceedingly rare.
