This solid 18-carat gold Constellation is a high-end version within its model range. The dial features a vertical hairline finish in the centre and a concentric hairline finish on the outer part, known as a pie-pan dial. The hour and minute hands are dauphine hand hands, all uniquely shortened to move along the inside of the pie-pan. The bar indices have beautifully faceted trapezoidal shapes, showcasing the sophisticated design typical of Omega's top-tier models. The intricate craftsmanship is evident not only in the materials but also in the chamfered bezel and lugs. Symbolising this excellence, the star at the 6 o'clock position and the medallion on the case back, depicting an observatory, shine proudly.

The chronometer Cal. 561 movement includes a quick-set date function (advancing the hands back and forth between 9 PM and 1 AM) and is a 5-position (five positions and temperature adjustment) mechanism. It is a highly regarded movement, improved from the historical 500 series automatic movements. This makes it a practical and user-friendly watch.

The case is in excellent condition, with no thinning and well-defined chamfered edges. The hallmark is clearly visible on the underside of the lugs. The dial shows some light patina but no signs of heavy ageing, maintaining a fresh appearance from its original era.
