BREITLING TOP TIME Ref.810

COMMENT

COMMENT

The Top Time is a chronograph admired for its blend of classic design and sporty elegance. This particular piece showcases the transition from the early monocoque case to a waterproof snap-back case, offering enhanced practicality. The dial sports the iconic reverse panda style, a hallmark of 1960s chronographs, with a refined finish that’s unmistakably Breitling. Despite its modern appeal, it houses the traditional Venus 178 chronograph movement, a column-wheel caliber known for its reliability and precision.

The case remains in excellent condition with only minor storage-related marks, while the robust lugs show minimal thinning, preserving the original proportions. The dial is well-preserved with no significant damage, showing only slight patina on the white subdials from age. The original hands are in superb condition, with the luminous material darkened slightly due to aging but otherwise intact. The watch has been serviced by our experts, ensuring it is in optimal working condition.

Introduced in 1962 and redesigned in 1964, the Top Time was created with a younger audience in mind—offering a more contemporary alternative to the "father's watch." Its wide variety of case and dial options, from solid gold to steel, helped cement its status as a symbol of freedom and individuality.
