OMEGA Constellation Ref.168.005 Dog Leg Lugs

COMMENT

COMMENT

Omega’s flagship model, the Constellation, features the distinctive “dog-leg” lugs, known for their sharp, angular form—an iconic design element that emerged in the mid-1960s. The 12-sided pie-pan dial is finished in silver sunray, with dauphine hands and matching indexes that incorporate black detailing for enhanced legibility and a cohesive aesthetic. The watch is equipped with the later-generation Beads of Rice bracelet, Ref. 1503, with 570 end links.

Powering this timepiece is the chronometer-certified Cal. 564, a highly precise movement. The 550-series calibers were refined to eliminate unnecessary components, resulting in a more efficient and sophisticated mechanism. This advancement allowed for greater design freedom, leading to a more modern and stylish dial layout.

The case shows some signs of wear but maintains its original silhouette in excellent condition. The bezel remains scratch-free, retaining a mirror-like polish. The dial has preserved its clean silver tone, maintaining a fresh and refined appearance with minimal aging. The hands show slight wear but reflect light beautifully, ensuring clear readability. The black print on the indexes remains sharp, further enhancing visibility. The bracelet features fixed links in a 6-9 configuration and maintains the original tapered profile from its release period. The movement has been fully serviced by us.

With its silver dial exuding a crisp and sophisticated charm, and its linear case design lending a sleek, modern aesthetic, this Constellation continues to embody timeless elegance. Experience its enduring appeal for yourself.
