AUDEMARS PIGUET Ref.182

COMMENT

COMMENT

A piece from Audemars Piguet sold in the 1980s. Released during the height of mechanical watches amidst the Quartz Crisis, this hand-wound, two-hand dress watch exudes understated elegance from a prestigious brand that speaks volumes through its simplicity. The blue sunburst dial paired with the white gold case creates a cool, composed aesthetic. The minimalistic dial, which proudly features diamonds set at four points, subtly emphasizes its refined beauty. The decision to omit indices elevates the watch’s elegance. The integrated bracelet, crafted with Audemars Piguet’s expert touch, is both supple and comfortable to wear.

This watch has seen very little use, with the case showing minimal noticeable scratches and maintaining excellent proportions. The edges of the case remain sharp, and the graceful curves of the lugs are uniform. The dial is in perfect condition, with no signs of aging, and the blue dial retains its vividness. The Audemars Piguet print is pristine, retaining its beautiful texture. The timepiece has been fully serviced by our company.

The design has been stripped back to the bare essentials, allowing the quality of the materials and textures to stand out all the more. Its thin profile offers excellent comfort, and when worn, the substantial weight of gold is unmistakable. It is a timepiece that can be worn like a piece of jewelry.
