Drawing on the lineage of the Gérald Genta–designed C-line Constellation, this watch represents a distinctly 1970s “futuristic evolution” of that aesthetic. The case features a flat crystal and a C-shaped profile sharpened with linear edges, giving it a clean and disciplined presence. The silver sunburst dial is structured with a stepped outer ring, while the tall, three-dimensional indexes add striking depth. The pencil-style hour and minute hands incorporate both luminous material and black printing at the centre. Inside is the high-beat Cal. 1022, a highly practical movement with intuitive quick-set functions: pulling the crown to the first position advances the date, the second position adjusts the time, and rotating the hands backwards activates the quick-set day mechanism.
The case shows minimal wear and remains in an impressively clean condition. The silver dial exhibits almost no patina, an outstanding state for a watch of this era. Both indexes and hands are in perfect condition with virtually no visible imperfections. The lume retains its original shape, displaying an attractive beige tone that enhances the vintage character. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.
This piece embodies Omega’s 1970s pursuit of modern, forward-looking design. It preserves the sculptural language of the C-line while refining the contours into a sharper, more contemporary expression. Balancing everyday practicality with subtle whimsy, it offers a direct window into the spirit of its era—and in such well-preserved condition, it is a particularly compelling example.
