OMEGA Seamaster Ref.165.002 MEISTER

COMMENT

COMMENT

Ref.165.002 is a Seamaster produced in the 1960s, powered by Omega’s emblematic automatic calibre, the Cal.552. This example features a rare double-signed dial, bearing the name of the prestigious German jeweller “MEISTER,” where it was retailed after being exported from Switzerland. Such co-signed dials lend a distinct presence not seen in standard models. The silver dial with vertical brushing is paired with faceted “bullet” indexes and pencil hands, establishing a refined and classical dress aesthetic. The stainless-steel case measures 35 mm in diameter, its round profile enhanced by sculpted lugs and a balanced bezel that add depth to the design.

The case is in clean condition, free of notable marks, with sharp lugs and bezel edges intact. The dial is in mint condition, with crisp printing, applied logo, and indexes retaining their dimensional clarity. The gently domed profile, accentuated by vertical brushing, produces a wave-like play of light that enriches the dial’s character. The hands preserve their original texture while displaying a natural patina, complementing the watch’s vintage charm. Serviced by our watchmakers.

The universal appeal of the Seamaster design, combined with the rare “MEISTER” double signature for the German market, gives this piece a singular allure. With the robust and precise Cal.552 and the added collectability of a retailer-signed dial, this watch carries significant value both as a reliable daily wearer and as a highly desirable collector’s piece.
