IWC Ref.R1416 Cal.422 18K Yellow Gold

COMMENT

COMMENT

An IWC adorned with a solid gold case, achieving the pinnacle of dress watch refinement. This timepiece features a manually wound movement, allowing for an elegantly thin case. Its perfectly round case extends into straight lugs that contour beautifully to the wrist. The dial showcases a delicate sunburst finish, while sharp bar hands and indexes, coated in black, add a striking contrast that enhances the linear aesthetic. The brand logo is rendered in the distinctive cursive script characteristic of vintage "Old Inter" models, adding a touch of classical elegance.

The case remains in excellent condition, preserving its original charm. There are no significant scratches or dents, and the lugs retain their crisp edges. The dial shows no noticeable deterioration, radiating a refined golden glow. The hands and indexes are free from paint loss, allowing the watch’s original beauty to shine through. The movement has been fully serviced by our company.

The 1970s marked an era in the watch industry where technical precision had been firmly established, allowing greater freedom in design. This piece, which embodies the pursuit of minimalism to the fullest extent, reflects IWC’s dedication to aesthetic purity in dress watches. While understated, the solid gold case asserts a distinct presence, making it a versatile companion for a variety of occasions.
