ユニバーサル・ジュネーブのポールルーターサブ、Ref.869109/01です。37mm台のケースに大振りなリューズ、回転ベゼルを備え、当時らしい実用性を確保しつつ、ダイヤルはデザインに強い個性が宿ります。ブラックのマットダイヤルへ、台形のホワイトベースに載せたアールデコ調のアラビア数字（3・6・12）が映え、デイト窓は台形に整えられた意匠。淡いレッドのクロスヘアが全体を引き締め、「SUB」の“U”を貫くトライデントなど、気づきにくい場所にまで遊び心が潜みます。希少なゲイフレアー社製純正ブレスレット、クラスプデイト69/3，エンドリンクUMを装備しています。

ケースはプロポーションを損なわない範囲で使用に伴う小傷が見られます。ベゼルは経年の表情として自然な範囲です。ダイヤルはマットの質感が保たれ、夜光は理想的なベージュトーンへ移行しています。ねじ込み式リューズを採用しており、この個体はねじ込みが良好に可能です。現存している大半はねじ込みができなくなっています。ねじ山が損傷し破損の原因となりますので、手巻きは行わないでください。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

The Universal Genève Polerouter Sub Ref.869109/01 pairs late-1960s tool-watch practicality with a dial design of remarkable character. The 37 mm case is fitted with an oversized crown and a rotating bezel, while the matte black dial brings a striking visual identity. Art Deco Arabic numerals at 3, 6, and 12 are positioned on trapezoidal white blocks, and the date window follows the same trapezoidal form. Pale red crosshairs provide subtle structure, and playful details—such as the trident piercing the “U” in “SUB”—reward closer inspection. This example is equipped with the rare Gay Frères bracelet, clasp dated 69/3, with UM end links.

The case shows light, period-appropriate wear yet retains strong proportions. The bezel displays age consistent with natural use. The dial maintains its matte texture, and the luminous material has aged to an ideal beige tone. The screw-down crown on this piece still engages properly—an important distinction, as most surviving examples have lost this function.
