ケースは18金無垢イエローゴールド製のトノーシェイプで、金細工の美が見て取れます。ダイヤルにはオニキスを用い、12時位置にはダイヤルにはオニキスを採用し、12時位置に当時ピアジェが採用していメダルロゴを配置。インデックスを排し、ロゴのみを配した潔いデザインが、ピアジェのエレガンスと思想を端的に表しています。クォーツショックの時代にあって、あえて機械式の手巻き二針で挑んだ意欲作でもあります。

本個体はNEW OLD STOCK（未使用品）です。ケースのエッジは鋭く、金の質感は当時のまま。クラックのないオニキスダイヤルは深く艶めき、完璧な鏡面を保っています。純正レザーストラップは新品同様で、ケースバックには当時の販売シールが残されています。針・ダイヤルともに経年変化は一切みられません。こちらは分解掃除をしておりません。

COMMENT

The case is crafted from solid 18K yellow gold in a graceful tonneau shape, showcasing the same goldsmithing artistry that also defined Piaget’s collaboration with Salvador Dalí in the “Dalí d’Or” creations of the period. The dial is made of deep black onyx, featuring a medallion logo at 12 o’clock engraved emblem, the design reflects Piaget’s pure expression of elegance and philosophy. Created during the Quartz Crisis, this model stands as a bold statement of intent—an entirely mechanical, hand-wound two-hand watch at a time when the industry was rapidly turning toward quartz technology.

This example is New Old Stock (NOS). The case edges remain sharp, with the gold retaining its original texture and brilliance. The onyx dial is flawless—free from cracks, radiating a deep luster and an immaculate mirror polish. The original leather strap appears virtually unused, and the original retail sticker is still intact on the caseback. Both the hands and dial remain untouched by time, preserved in what can only be described as a “frozen-in-time” condition.
