COMMENT

端正な顔立ちが魅力の、30mmキャリバーを搭載したオメガです。電着塗装によるホワイトダイヤルにはヴィンテージらしい風合いが宿り、夜光塗料を配したオールアラビアインデックスがスポーティな表情を添えています。針は注射針型を採用し、読み取りやすさとデザイン性が両立。段差を設けたスモールセコンドはレコード盤のような溝を刻んだ仕上げで、視覚的にも質感的にも魅力的です。ケースは防水仕様のミドルケースとスクリューバックによるツーピース構造で、内側にはパッキンが収まるしっかりとした造り。正面から見た際にケース側面がわずかに見えるテーパードフォルムは、この時代のオメガらしい先進的なデザインです。

ケースは目立つ傷がなく、全体として良好なコンディションを保っています。裏蓋まわりには軽微な使用傷が見られるものの、気になるようなダメージではありません。汚れが目立ちやすいホワイトダイヤルも、肉眼で気になる劣化はほとんど見られず、落ち着いた雰囲気を湛えています。針・インデックス・ロゴはいずれも傷がなく、美しい状態です。夜光塗料は自然な経年変化が見られ、ヴィンテージらしい表情を引き立てています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

腕時計が普及し始めた1910年代から手巻き、自動巻と変遷を経て、クオーツ時計の開発によって機械式時計が衰退します。それ以前の1960年代に機械式腕時計はひとつのピークに達します。当時は日本でも三種の神器の一つだったオメガの時計。持つ人のステータスとなる高級品で、各メーカーが精度や防水性、耐久性など切磋琢磨し開発した時代。コストをかけて、より良い時計造りのためにしのぎを削っていました。

This Omega, fitted with the celebrated 30 mm calibre, offers a clean and well-balanced aesthetic. The white electro-deposited dial carries a gentle vintage character, complemented by full Arabic numerals with luminous material that introduce a subtle sporting tone. The syringe-style hands strike an excellent balance between legibility and design. The recessed small-seconds display features concentric grooves reminiscent of a record surface, adding both visual and tactile appeal. The case uses a robust two-piece waterproof construction, combining a middle case with a screw-down back and an internal gasket. Its tapered profile—where the side of the case is just visible from the front—is a forward-thinking design trait characteristic of Omega during this era.

The case shows no major scratches and remains in overall fine condition. Light wear is present around the caseback, though nothing of concern. The white dial, which easily reveals imperfections, retains a calm and even appearance with no notable deterioration visible to the naked eye. The hands, indexes, and applied logo are all free from damage and remain beautifully preserved. The luminous material has aged naturally to a warm tone, enhancing the watch’s vintage charm. Water-resistant Omega models housing the 30 mm calibre were produced largely for the European market during this period, making this configuration particularly uncommon in Asia and North America.
