OMEGA Seamaster 30 Ref.135.006-63

COMMENT

COMMENT

The Omega Seamaster 30 Ref. 135.006-63 is a hand-wound model that pairs a silver sunburst dial with bar indices and pencil hands. Black inlays at the centers of the hands and indices enhance legibility, while the absence of luminous material gives the watch an exceptionally clean and composed expression. Because the dial carries very little information, the subtle play of light and the quality of the finishing come through with clarity and restraint.

The case shows light scuffs and hairline marks from use, but the overall shape remains well preserved, with crisp edges still intact. The sunburst brushing on the dial is even, shifting smoothly between light and shadow depending on the angle. There is no visible deterioration to the black inlays on the hands or indices. The non-luminous specification is also appealing in that it is less susceptible to age-related changes over time. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The movement is the hand-wound Cal. 286, one of the core calibers that supported Omega’s 30mm lineage throughout the 1960s, valued for its robust and practical construction. This is not a watch that asserts itself through flamboyance; rather, its appeal lies in the honesty of its design and the precision of its finishing, qualities that align naturally with the minimal exterior. It does not overemphasize its vintage character, yet it clearly carries the atmosphere of its era—a Seamaster that feels instinctively right for everyday wear.
