COMMENT

1963年製、オメガ シーマスター Ref.166.010です。1960年代のシーマスターを代表するリファレンスのひとつで、後年まで続く端正なラウンドケースとデイト付き自動巻きという構成から、同時代のシーマスターの完成形とも評されるモデルです。本個体は電着塗装によるホワイトダイヤルを備え、ドルフィンハンドと立体的なバーインデックスを組み合わせたノンルミナス仕様。針やインデックスにもブラックの差し色を用いず、白いダイヤルの質感を生かした非常にシンプルなフェイスに仕上げられています。ムーブメントは自動巻きCal.562を搭載。後年のクイックチェンジ式とは異なり、日付は針を21時頃から0時頃の間で往復させることで早送りする方式です。

ステンレススチールケースには使用に伴う細かな傷が見られますが、ラグの輪郭やケースサイドのラインはしっかりと残っており、良好なコンディションです。ホワイトダイヤルも大きな傷みがなく、均一で落ち着いた色調を保っています。針、インデックス、アプライドのΩマークも良好で、ノンルミナスならではのすっきりとした印象がよく残っています。ケースバックにはシーマスターのシーホースメダリオンを装備。ブレスレットはオメガ純正のビーズ・オブ・ライス Ref.1502、エンドリンク11が組み合わされています。

Ref.166.010は、程よいケースサイズと視認性の高いデイト表示、扱いやすい自動巻きムーブメントを備えた、ヴィンテージ・シーマスターらしい実用性の高いモデルです。本個体は比較的初期にあたる1963年製で、ノンルミナスのホワイトダイヤルとビーズ・オブ・ライスブレスレットの組み合わせも相まって、スポーティーさよりも上品さを強く感じさせます。1960年代オメガの端正なデザインを日常使いで楽しめる一本です。

The striking lug design, commonly referred to as the "dog leg," adds an edge to the overall form of this Constellation. Paired with the clean dial, it creates a multifaceted design. The indices, featuring three facets, incorporate black at the center for excellent readability. The hour and minute hands are in a dauphine shape, and it includes a practical date function. The bracelet is a beads of rice style, Ref.1502 with end link 512.

The case shows minimal signs of wear, exuding a sense of cleanliness. The mirror finish reflects light in complex ways, showcasing various expressions. The dial is in mint condition, displaying a silky texture of sunray without any traces of past water damage. The hands and indexes exhibit no dullness on the plating, shimmering brightly. The bracelet features fixed links in a 9-6 configuration, maintaining the tapered design from its release. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our company, confirming a power reserve of 48 hours.

The dial's silver color, close to white, offers a sense of cleanliness and a crisp, cool impression. Peeking out from a shirt sleeve, it commands attention with its understated presence.
