A classic 1950s Omega distinguished by its two-tone dial and applied Arabic numerals at 3, 9, and 12. The contrasting finishes between the inner and outer sections capture light beautifully, giving the dial a rich variety of expressions depending on the angle. At 6 o’clock sits a recessed small seconds, featuring traditional concentric grooves reminiscent of a vintage record. The case is of a waterproof two-piece construction, combining a robust snap-back with a solid middle case fitted with a gasket—an advanced and durable design for the era. From the front, the slightly visible taper of the case side is a hallmark of 1950s Omega design. Waterproof 30 mm models from this period were produced primarily for the European market, making examples like this exceptionally rare in Asia and North America.
The case shows minor wear from use, yet the edges of the bezel and lugs remain well preserved, retaining the watch’s crisp profile. The dial is in near-mint condition with very little aging, displaying the calm elegance only an untouched original surface can offer. The hands carry a subtle patina that enhances the vintage character, while the polished indexes reflect light with remarkable clarity. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.
