セイコーダイバーの中で3代目となるモデルで、1976年から1979年までに作られた希少な国内向けモデル。海外向けと違い、ハック機能の付いた6306Aを搭載しています。曜日の表記は漢字/英語を選ぶことができます。ダイヤルコンディションがとても良く、プリントの色味が抜けず綺麗に残っています。裏蓋のシリアルの刻印は深く研磨状況も大変良好です。手巻が付いていない自動巻きモデルで、巻上げ性能が気になるのが、こちらの時計です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

BRAND

1960年代は、機械式腕時計は完成期とも言えるほどの発展を遂げた時期で、セイコーは精度コンクールの分野でも量産の分野でも、世界に追いつき、追いぬいた時代であった。同時に、「時計の電子化」が進展し、1969（昭和44）年12月にセイコーが世界初のクオーツ（水晶）腕時計を発売することにより、機械式腕時計からクオーツ腕時計へと大きく舵を切ろうとする時期でもあった。

COMMENT

This Seiko diver model represents the third generation, crafted for the domestic market between 1976 and 1979, making it a rare find. Unlike its overseas counterpart, it is equipped with the hack feature and houses the 6306A movement. Users have the option to choose between kanji/English for the day display. The dial is in excellent condition, with vibrant print colors that have retained their beauty over time. The serial imprint on the case back is deeply engraved, and the polishing condition is remarkably good. Being an automatic model without manual winding, the winding performance is a crucial consideration for this watch. However, after disassembly and cleaning, it underwent successful tests, confirming operational functionality for over 48 hours, ensuring reliable use.

The 1960s marked a period of significant advancement in mechanical wristwatches, with Seiko achieving excellence in both precision competitions and mass production, catching up with and surpassing the global standards of the time. Simultaneously, the era saw the progress of "electrification of watches," with Seiko leading the way by launching the world's first quartz (crystal) wristwatch in December 1969. This pivotal moment marked a significant shift from mechanical to quartz watches in the watchmaking landscape.
