COMMENT

ロレックスを代表するモデル、デイトジャスト Ref.1601です。ステンレススチール製ケースに、細かな刻みを持つホワイトゴールド製フルーテッドベゼルを組み合わせています。ダイヤルは、織物のような縦横の模様を施したシルバーのリネンダイヤル。上面にブラックのラインを入れたバーインデックスとバトンハンドにより、明瞭な視認性を確保しています。外周を一段下げてミニッツトラックを配した、奥行きのある構成です。純正ジュビリーブレスレットRef.6251H、エンドリンク55を装備しています。

ケースには使用に伴う傷が見られますが、ラグの輪郭と全体のプロポーションは良好に保たれています。ダイヤルにはわずかな経年変化が見られるものの、リネン特有の繊細な仕上げと各種プリントは明瞭です。針、インデックス、アプライドの王冠ロゴに目立つメッキの剥がれはなく、鏡面仕上げの輝きを維持しています。ブレスレットの状態も良好です。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

ムーブメントは自動巻クロノメーターCal.1570を搭載。耐久性と整備性に優れ、長期にわたりロレックスの中核を担った代表的なキャリバーです。現在のラインナップでは見られないリネンダイヤルは、規則的な織り模様が光の角度によって細やかに表情を変える、当時ならではの意匠です。フルーテッドベゼルとジュビリーブレスレットを備えた伝統的な構成の中で、ダイヤルの質感が明確な個性を与えています。

COMMENT

The Rolex Datejust Ref.1601 combines a stainless steel case with a finely fluted white gold bezel. Its silver linen dial is finished with a woven pattern of intersecting vertical and horizontal lines. Baton indexes and hands with black central accents ensure clear legibility, while the recessed outer section and printed minute track add depth to the dial. The watch is fitted with an original Jubilee bracelet, Ref.6251H, with 55 end links.

The case shows scratches from use but retains the defined contours of its lugs and good overall proportions. The dial displays light signs of aging, while its delicate linen finish and printed details remain clear. The hands, indexes, and applied coronet show no noticeable loss of plating and retain their polished sheen. The bracelet also remains in good condition. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

The watch is powered by the automatic chronometer-rated Cal.1570, one of Rolex’s principal calibres, noted for its durability and ease of servicing. No longer offered in the current collection, the linen dial is a distinctive period detail, its regular woven texture changing subtly with the angle of the light. Within the traditional combination of a fluted bezel and Jubilee bracelet, the dial gives this Ref.1601 a clearly individual character.
