COMMENT

1940年代に製造された、コレクターの間で「セイタケ（Sei-Tacche）」と呼ばれるロンジンです。イタリア語で「6つの切り欠き」を意味する名称で、裏蓋外周に設けられた6か所の爪を用いて開閉する、ねじ込み式ケースバックに由来します。ブラックギルトダイヤルには、全面に夜光塗料を充填したアラビア数字と、同じく夜光を備えた太い時分針を配置。6時位置には同心円状の仕上げを施したスモールセコンドを備え、ゴールドカラーのレターとレイルウェイミニッツトラックが、ミリタリーウォッチを思わせる機能的な表情を形成しています。

ケースには使用に伴う細かな傷が見られますが、丸みを帯びたミドルケースからストレートラグへと続く輪郭は良好に保たれています。ブラックダイヤルには全体に細かな斑点状の経年変化が現れていますが、ギルトのロゴやミニッツトラックは明瞭です。アラビア数字と針の夜光は、調和の取れたベージュカラーへ変化しています。ケースバックには「23101」と組み番号の「207」が刻まれ、ラグ裏にも同じ「207」の刻印を確認できます。ケースバックとケース本体の組み番号が一致していることは、外装のオリジナリティを判断するうえで大切なポイントです。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントはロンジン自社製の手巻Cal.10.68Zを搭載。直径約23.7mmの小型ムーブメントながら、バイメタル切りテンプとブレゲ式ヒゲゼンマイを備え、毎時18,000振動で作動します。ゴールドカラーの受けに面取りを施した歯車や磨かれたスクリューを組み合わせた、往年のロンジンらしい丁寧な仕上げも見どころです。ケース径は約31.5mmとやや小ぶりですが、太い夜光数字と針、大きなリューズ、厚みを持たせた防水ケースによって、サイズ以上に力強い印象を与えます。実用性を意識した堅牢な外装と上質な自社製ムーブメントが一体となった、1940年代のロンジンを象徴する一本です。

Produced in the 1940s, this Longines is known among collectors as the “Sei-Tacche.” Meaning “six notches” in Italian, the name refers to the six recesses around the screw-down case back used for opening and closing it. The black gilt dial features Arabic numerals fully filled with luminous material, together with substantial luminous hour and minute hands. A small-seconds register with concentric circular finishing is positioned at 6 o’clock, while gold-tone lettering and a railway minute track give the watch the functional character associated with military timepieces.

The case shows fine scratches from use, though the outline flowing from the rounded middle case into the straight lugs remains well preserved. The black dial displays fine, evenly scattered spotting from age, while the gilt logo and minute track remain clear. The luminous material on the Arabic numerals and hands has aged to a well-matched beige tone. The case back is stamped “23101” together with the matching number “207,” which also appears beneath the lugs. The correspondence between the case-back and case-body assembly numbers is an important indication of the exterior’s originality. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Inside is Longines’ manually wound Cal.10.68Z. Despite its compact diameter of approximately 23.7mm, the movement is equipped with a cut bimetallic balance and Breguet overcoil and operates at 18,000 vibrations per hour. Gold-tone bridges, bevelled wheelwork, and polished screws display the careful finishing associated with Longines movements of this period. Although the case measures a relatively compact 31.5mm, the broad luminous numerals and hands, large crown, and substantial water-resistant case give it a stronger appearance than its dimensions might suggest. Its robust, practical case and finely constructed manufacture movement make it a representative Longines wristwatch of the 1940s.
