1970年代に製造されたコルム Ref.58301です。18Kホワイトゴールド製の大型スクエアケースは、四隅に丸みをもたせた柔らかな輪郭と、表面に施された細かなテクスチャーが特徴です。繊細な交差模様を施したシルバーダイヤルには、細身のバーハンドと簡潔なラインインデックスを配置。ノンデイトの2針に絞った端正な構成が、ケースの造形を引き立てています。ムーブメントは、コルム銘の入った35石の自動巻Cal.37を搭載しています。ベースとなったフレデリック・ピゲCal.71は、香箱の上蓋を省いて主ゼンマイを露出させたオープンバレル構造を採用。パテック フィリップの一部の手巻き2針ムーブメントにも見られる構造ですが、自動巻での採用例は極めて少なく、薄型でありながら約45時間のパワーリザーブを備えています。

ケースには使用に伴う細かな傷が見られますが、丸みを帯びた外周や側面の輪郭は良好に保たれています。裏蓋に刻まれたリファレンス、シリアル、18Kホワイトゴールドを示す刻印も明瞭です。ダイヤルは繊細な仕上げと各種プリントがしっかりと残り、針も良好な状態を維持しています。コルム純正のレザーストラップとバックルが付属します。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

縦38mm、横35mmの伸びやかなケースに対し、厚さは約5mmに抑えられています。視覚的な広がりを持ちながら、薄型時計らしい軽快な装着感を備えている点も特徴です。ホワイトゴールドの落ち着いた色調と装飾を抑えたダイヤルの組み合わせから、1970年代のコルムらしい自由な造形を楽しめます。スクエアケースでありながら腕元に自然に収まり、ドレススタイルから日常の装いまで幅広く合わせられる一本です。

Produced in the 1970s, this Corum Ref. 58301 is housed in a large 18K white gold square case. Its softly rounded corners and finely textured surface give the case a distinctive yet restrained appearance. The silver dial is decorated with a delicate crosshatched pattern and arranged with slender baton hands and simple linear indexes. The no-date, two-hand configuration allows the form of the case to take center stage. Inside is the 35-jewel automatic Cal. 37, signed Corum. Its base movement, the Frédéric Piguet Cal. 71, uses an open-barrel construction in which the upper cover of the barrel is omitted, leaving the mainspring exposed. A similar construction can be found in certain manually wound, two-hand Patek Philippe movements, though its use in an automatic caliber is extremely uncommon. Despite its slim profile, the movement offers a power reserve of approximately 45 hours.

The case shows minor scratches from use, though its rounded perimeter and side contours remain well preserved. The reference number, serial number, and 18K white gold hallmarks engraved on the caseback are all clearly legible. The dial retains its delicate finish and clear printing, while the hands remain in good condition. The watch is accompanied by an original Corum leather strap and buckle. Measuring 38mm vertically and 35mm across, yet only approximately 5mm thick, the elongated case combines visual breadth with the light wearing profile of a slim watch. The subdued tone of white gold and the restrained dial reflect the freedom of form associated with Corum’s work during the 1970s. Despite its square case, it sits naturally on the wrist and pairs comfortably with both formal and everyday attire.
