COMMENT

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Vogue Ref.9043 21 is a refined vintage dress watch produced in the 1970s, distinguished by its 18k yellow-gold case and hand-wound Cal.818/2 movement. Its rectangular silhouette is elegant and well-balanced, offering a graceful presence on the wrist. The matte black dial provides a calm, understated backdrop, while the yellow-gold hands and the gold disc bearing Roman numerals create a sophisticated contrast that enhances the watch’s classic character.

The case shows only minimal signs of wear and retains its original proportions without any signs of thinning. The crisp geometry of the case remains intact, preserving the sharpness that defines its design. The dial is free from haze or ageing and remains in excellent condition. The hands are remarkably clean, showing no tarnish or scratches, and maintain strong legibility with a refined finish. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

This model represents a pure expression of dress-watch design—highly regarded among vintage enthusiasts and collectors of classic pieces. The rectangular case evokes an Art Deco sensibility, and when paired with the historical context of its manufacture, the result is a timeless watch with enduring value. Well-preserved examples are scarce on the vintage market, and its rarity, combined with its poised aesthetic, contributes to its continued desirability.

BRAND

Jaeger-LeCoultre is a true manufacture known for producing a wide range of distinctive timepieces. Historically, the company supplied ébauches and components to other leading maisons such as Vacheron Constantin, Audemars Piguet, Patek Philippe, and Cartier. Founded in 1833 in a small Swiss workshop, the brand grew on the principle of “standing on science,” developing reliable mechanisms and advanced production systems that positioned it at the forefront of Swiss horology. With emblematic in-house creations such as the Reverso, Jaeger-LeCoultre remains one of the few manufacturers to design and produce its own movements entirely in-house.
