IWC Ref.1928 C Line Case NO Date

COMMENT

COMMENT

This IWC Inter features a barrel-shaped C-line case reminiscent of the 1970s. The dial boasts an elegant silver sunray finish that plays with light and shade. It combines a silver sunray dial with black-print pencil hands and bar indices, culminating in a design that can be likened to IWC's golden ratio, perfected in the late 1960s.

Equipped with the efficient Pellaton automatic winding movement Cal.854B, it responds promptly to the slightest motion, showcasing an impressive winding mechanism. The Pellaton movement, still highly regarded today and adopted in current models, speaks volumes about its enduring excellence.

The case exhibits minimal scratches, presenting a clean appearance. The dial is in mint condition, with an untarnished silver color that exudes a cool impression. The hands, indices, and applied logo retain their mirror-like finish. It has been disassembled and cleaned by our experts, confirming a power reserve of 46 hours and a daily deviation of +10 seconds.

Despite the commanding presence of its tonneau-shaped case, it retains an elegance characteristic of IWC, thanks to its lack of a date function. It's an exquisite piece that embodies the heyday of mechanical watches.

IWC's Cal.85 series automatic movement adopts the unique Pellaton mechanism. When winding, it emits a distinct sound akin to rolling beads, notably louder compared to other brands.
