均整の取れたラウンドケースが魅力の、通称「オールドインター」です。シルバーのサンバーストダイヤルに、山形のファセットを施したアプライドバーインデックスと細身のドーフィンハンドを配置。光の角度によって各部の陰影が変化し、簡潔なフェイスに立体感を与えています。力強い三面構成のラグと、魚のマークが刻まれた通称「お魚リューズ」も特徴です。ムーブメントは、IWC独自のペラトン式自動巻機構を備えたCal.854を搭載します。

ケースにはわずかな使用傷が見られるものの、目立つ打痕はなく、ラグの稜線と立体的な面構成がしっかりと残っています。ダイヤルはサンバースト仕上げとシルバーの色調を美しく保ち、目立つ経年変化のない良好なコンディションです。針とインデックスにもメッキの剥がれや目立つくすみは見られず、光を受けて端正な輝きを見せます。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

COMMENT

Often referred to in Japan as an “Old Inter,” this IWC is distinguished by its well-balanced round case. The silver sunburst dial is arranged with applied baton indexes featuring peaked facets and slender dauphine hands. Their shifting reflections lend depth to the otherwise restrained dial. Strong, three-faceted lugs and the so-called “fish-logo crown,” engraved with a fish emblem, are further defining details. Inside is the Cal. 854, equipped with IWC’s proprietary Pellaton automatic winding system.

The case shows only light scratches from use, with no prominent impact marks. The ridges and sculpted facets of the lugs remain sharply defined. The dial retains its silver tone and sunburst finish beautifully, with no noticeable signs of age. The hands and indexes show neither loss of plating nor prominent tarnishing, reflecting the light with a clean sheen. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Its restrained thickness and wrist-friendly dimensions are balanced by substantial lugs and a composed dial, making it equally suited to dressier settings and everyday wear. Although minimally decorated, the careful finishing of each detail gives the watch a subtle sense of depth and the orderly appearance associated with IWC. Fitted with the Pellaton winding system still used by the manufacture today, it offers the appeal of vintage IWC through both its exterior and mechanics.
