JAEGER LECOULTRE Ref.9101 21 Black Mirror Dial

COMMENT

COMMENT

The Jaeger-LeCoultre Ref.9101.21 is a testament to the brand's excellence in crafting dress watches, including the iconic Reverso. The case, crafted from solid 18k gold, features a surprisingly thick bezel in a wide octagonal shape measuring 29.5mm in height and 27.5mm in width. The gold material enhances the elegance of the supple design. The black mirror dial embraces a minimalist design with no indices, emphasizing the case design, hands, and the manufacturer's logo. It comes with an authentic Jaeger-LeCoultre buckle.

Powering this timepiece is the 'Cal.818/3,' an upgraded version of the high-end movement 'Cal.818,' which has a proven track record of supplying renowned watchmakers such as Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet. It is a reliable movement that embodies the sophisticated design of a manufacture brand.

Given its vintage nature, the case shows minor signs of use, but there are no noticeable dents or significant scratches. A noteworthy feature is the absence of the common dial cracks seen in many vintage pieces, making this watch a rare non-cracked specimen. The dial is well-preserved, free from deterioration, presenting the mint condition reminiscent of its original state. The watch has been disassembled and cleaned, ensuring it operates for more than 36 hours.

Classic timepieces like this undergo changes in their impressions over time. The enjoyment of owning a vintage watch lies in appreciating the unique characteristics developed through the years. While it is a rare experience, the true luxury is relishing the impression that existed only in that era. Enjoy this watch from 50 years ago in its vibrant condition.
