COMMENT

1941年に製造されたアールデコなオメガ。ファンシーブルホーンラグを備えた主張の強いケースデザインはスカラベと呼ばれています。ジャンボサイズなことで、より主調を感じます。ダイヤルは縦ヘアラインのゴールド。ミリタリーウォッチにもみられた、外周のアラビア数字入りチャプターリングはこの世代らしいです。針は1940年ごろまで見られた素晴らしい意匠のブルースチールです。搭載ムーブメントはCal.23.4SCT1。このビッグスカラベでセンターセコンドは数少ないです。アーカイブが付属します。

ケースはオリジナルのフォルムをよく残し、良いプロポーションをしています。スカラベラグのヘアラインと鏡面の切り替えは当時のままを残しています。ダイヤルはパーフェクトです。ヴィンテージ感の強いゴールドダイヤルは、色味にムラのない素晴らしいコンディションです。ブルースチール針のコンディションが素晴らしく、鏡面仕上げを程度よく残しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みで、パワーリザーブ43時間を確認しています。

世界恐慌が終わり、第二次世界大戦までのほんの数年の間に制作されたこの美しく珍しい作品は、この時代のモダニズムの美学を捉えています。ジャンボサイズで、希少なステイブライト製。30mm前後が主流であった当時の時計と比べ勘案すると、際立った作品であったことでしょう。1930年代の特別な時計がミントなコンディションで残っている、奇跡のような個体です。

A striking Art Deco Omega crafted in 1941, this timepiece features a bold case design with a distinctive Fancy Bullhorn lugs known as the "Scarab." Its jumbo size adds to its commanding presence, and the vertically brushed gold dial exudes elegance. The outer chapter ring with Arabic numerals, reminiscent of military watches of the era, is a characteristic feature of this generation. The hands exhibit a splendid design with blue steel, a motif seen until around the 1940s. Powered by the Cal.23.4SCT1 movement, this Scarab stands out with its rare center seconds function, a rarity for its time. Archive documentation is included.

The case retains the original form exceptionally well, maintaining a pleasing proportion. The alternating Scarab lugs' brushed and mirror-polished finish remains true to the style of the time. The dial is in perfect condition, with the vintage-inspired gold dial displaying an even and fantastic color tone. The impressive condition of the blue steel hands, preserving a mirror finish, adds to the overall appeal. Professionally disassembled and cleaned by our experts, it has been confirmed to have a power reserve of 43 hours.

Crafted in the few years between the end of the Great Depression and the onset of World War II, this beautifully rare piece captures the aesthetics of the Modernist movement of that era. Being a jumbo-sized and made from the rare Staybrite material, it stands out compared to the mainstream watches of the time, typically around 30mm. A truly miraculous find, this special timepiece from the 1930s is in mint condition.
