1919年以来、永遠に作り続けられるCARTIERの名作タンク。1970年代から始まるディフュージョンラインであるマストシリーズの生産前に作られた、プレマストタンクです。18金張りのケース、文字盤に「must de」の表記が入らない、ホワイトローマンのフェイスは後のルイカルティエコレクションにも重なるデザインです。

ダイヤルは比較的美しい状態を保っており、傷もなく非常に良好です。ラグ周りのエッジははっきりと残っており、全体的に好印象を与えます。気になるような劣化は少なく、全体的に優れたコンディションです。針にはわずかなくすみが見られるものの、視認性はしっかりと確保されています。ベルトはタンク専用オリジナルのサイズのままに製作しております。カルティエ純正のバックルが装備されておりますので、そのオリジナル性をお楽しみ頂けます。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

現在では、ジュエラーとして名高いカルティエですが、まだ懐中時計が主流だった1904年に本格的な腕時計を製作したのはカルティエが最初でした。「タンク」という名前は、“戦車”を意味し、第一次世界大戦中の終結に貢献したといわれる、ルノー製の戦車がデザインの基となっています。その中でもマストシリーズは文字盤のバリエーションが豊富にあります。

Since 1919, Cartier's iconic Tank has been continuously produced, a timeless masterpiece. This model is a Pre-Must Tank, created before the launch of the Must series, a diffusion line that began in the 1970s. Featuring an 18k gold-plated case and a white Roman numeral dial without the "must de" inscription, the design mirrors that of later Louis Cartier collections.

The dial remains in relatively excellent condition, free from scratches and showing minimal signs of wear. The edges around the lugs are crisp, maintaining a sharp and refined appearance, contributing to the overall positive impression. The hands exhibit slight tarnishing but retain good legibility. The strap has been crafted to the original size specifications for the Tank and is equipped with a genuine Cartier buckle, ensuring the authenticity of the piece. It has undergone a full overhaul at our workshop.

Products produced before the 1977 release of the Must Tank are known as Pre-Must pieces among collectors. These were made during the early period of Cartier's wristwatch mass production starting around 1973, a time when many mysterious designs were created.
