COMMENT

インターのジャンボケースモデル。このケースはRef.810を1mm大きくしたものです。ダイヤルは、水を湛えたような艶を持つサンバースト仕上げが特徴。外周のミニッツドットにはパールドロップタイプを採用し、砲弾型インデックスとドーフィンハンドの組み合わせによって、クラシックながらも力強い印象を与えます。筆記体ロゴの上部にはアプライドロゴを配置し、高級感を引き立てています。  

キャリバーC8541Bは、インターオリジナルの〈ペラトン方式〉自動巻きを備えたムーブメント。爪によって両回転での自動巻きを実現し、その高い性能から現代でも使用されている機構です。当時IWCが自社開発した最後のキャリバーであり、完成された美しさがあります。時刻合わせで針を往復させて日付を送る「往復送り」機能を備え、実用性にも優れています。Bはハック機能付きモデルを意味します。  

ケースは使用感が少なく、ラグのエッジもシャープに残るグッドコンディション。ダイヤルはエイジングによって落ち着いた色味へと変化し、ヴィンテージならではの趣を感じさせます。針やインデックスも傷がほとんどなく、美しい輝きを維持しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。  

Ref.810は量産モデルで、弊社でも多く取り扱っておりますが、ジャンボサイズのRef.820は生産数が少なく珍しいモデルです。加えてスクリューバック仕様で防水性を確保しており、スポーツウォッチのような迫力を感じさせます。ノンルミナス仕様のパールドロップダイヤルに、迫力あるケースを組み合わせたIWCらしい一本です。

BRAND

アメリカマサチューセッツ州ボストン出身の時計師、フロレンタイン・アリオスト・ジョーンズが1868年に創立したのが始まり。特徴的なデザインで今なお世界中で人気を誇る「パイロット・ウォッチ」コレクションなど、多くの人気シリーズを発売。磁気から時計を守る為の軟鉄製インナーケースや、IWC独自の"ぺラトン式"と呼ばれる両回転式自動巻機構はあまりに有名。

COMMENT  

A jumbo-cased model from IWC. This case is an enlarged version of Ref. 810 by 1mm. The dial features a sunburst finish with a deep, liquid-like luster. The outer minute track uses pearl-drop type markers, and together with the torpedo-shaped indexes and dauphine hands, it creates a classic yet bold impression. Above the cursive logo, an applied logo is placed, enhancing the overall sense of luxury.  

The Caliber C8541B is equipped with IWC's original "Pellaton" automatic winding system, which uses pawls to achieve bidirectional winding—an advanced mechanism still in use today due to its high efficiency. This was the last movement fully developed in-house by IWC at the time, showcasing a refined beauty. It also features a "back-and-forth quickset" function for date adjustment, adding to its practicality. The "B" designation indicates the presence of a hacking function.  

The case shows minimal signs of wear, with sharp edges on the lugs, maintaining excellent condition. The dial has aged into a refined, subdued tone, exuding a distinctive vintage charm. The hands and indexes remain largely unblemished, preserving their brilliant luster. The watch has been fully serviced by our company.  

While Ref. 810 was a mass-produced model and frequently handled by us, the jumbo-sized Ref. 820 was produced in smaller quantities, making it a rare find. Additionally, its screw-back construction ensures water resistance, giving it the presence of a sports watch. This IWC piece pairs a non-luminous pearl-drop dial with a bold case, embodying the brand’s unique aesthetic.

Founded in 1868 by watchmaker Florentine Ariosto Jones from Boston, Massachusetts, IWC has introduced numerous popular collections, including the globally renowned "Pilot’s Watch" series. The brand is also famous for its soft iron inner cases designed to protect movements from magnetic interference, as well as its proprietary Pellaton bidirectional automatic winding system.
