サントスはブレスレットとベゼルがビスで彩られた、カルティエの個性を象徴するデザインです。指輪ではビスを用いた「LOVE コレクション」が1970年代から製造されています。8角形のベゼルが華やかなサントスオクタゴンは、すでに製造が終了しており、ビンテージならではの意匠です。文字盤は淡いアイボリー、マットな質感がクラシックな風合いです。ミニッツトラック、ローマインデックス、サークルラインのコンビネーションが美しいです。ブルースチールのバトン針と、カボジョンリューズの石の色が合っていて、良いポイントカラーとなります。

ケースとブレスレットは傷の少ない、グッドコンディションです。平面カットがキラキラと輝きます。ダイヤルはミントコンディションで気になるような劣化、エイジングがありません。ブルースチールの針は濃い青色が現存しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

1900年代、飛行士サントス・デュモンが飛行中に時刻を確認できるようカルティエにオーダーしたのが「サントス」の始まり。そのサントスのなかでも八角形型モデル「サントスオクタゴン」は、平面上にカットが入ったブレスが、腕を動かす度にキラキラと煌めきます。シンプルながらもエレガントな印象を与えるモデルです。

The Santos model is a distinctive Cartier design, characterized by the screws adorning the bracelet and bezel. Similar to the "LOVE Collection," which has used screws in rings since the 1970s, this aesthetic is integral to Cartier's identity. The Santos Octagon, with its striking octagonal bezel, is no longer in production, making it a sought-after vintage piece. The dial features a soft ivory tone with a matte finish, exuding a classic charm. The combination of the minute track, Roman numerals, and circular lines enhances the dial's elegant design. Blue steel baton hands and a cabochon crown with a matching stone add a lovely pop of color.
