ROLEX OYSTERDATE Ref.6466 Black Mirror Dial

COMMENT

安定感のあるCal.1225を搭載。

BRAND

COMMENT

The Ref. 6466 is a mid-size Oysterdate, featuring a striking black mirror dial with silver printed lettering. The combination of silver bar indexes and pencil hands enhances its refined aesthetic, while the flat coronet logo adds a sporty touch. This piece is fitted with a solid-link Oyster bracelet, Ref. 78350 17, with clasp code H and 551 end links.  Powering this watch is the reliable Cal. 1225, a movement from the same generation as the 1570, known for its stability and high level of craftsmanship. True to Rolex’s standards, the silver-finished movement boasts excellent finishing.

The case remains in good condition, with only a minor scratch on the side, while the dial is remarkably well-preserved, showing minimal signs of aging. The hands are in outstanding shape, free from scratches or tarnish. The white print on the indexes remains crisp, and the luminous material on the hands and indexes has aged to a soft beige tone, adding to the vintage character of the piece. The watch has been serviced by us for optimal performance.

The Oysterdate, with its hand-wound movement and reliable calendar mechanism, is a classic, understated vintage Rolex. The slim Oyster case ensures excellent wearability, making it a highly practical choice. Well-preserved examples like this are becoming increasingly rare, making this an excellent opportunity to acquire a vintage Oysterdate suited for daily wear.

BRAND

The Oysterdate, with its slim manual-wind movement, is an ideal entry point into Rolex collecting and a practical choice for everyday wear. Available in a variety of dial colors, including black and blue, this model has historically been more accessible compared to other Rolex references. While the manual movement is known for its accuracy, it lacks a quick-set date function, requiring the wearer to advance the hands manually—a charming characteristic that adds to the appeal of owning a vintage Rolex.
