カラトラバケースのIWC（インター）。その名前の由来となったパテックフィリップのカラトラバを踏襲しながらも、IWC独自の整然とした雰囲気が漂います。控えめなデザインの中に、職人のこだわりが光る一本です。2面カットのドーフィンハンド、立体的な砲弾型インデックス、きらめくパールドロップのミニッツドット、そして落ち着いたパールホワイトのダイヤル。これらが見事に調和し、美しい均衡を生み出しています。ノンデイト・ノンルミナスのシンプルなフェイスが、洗練された印象をさらに高めています。

ムーブメントにはIWC自社製のCal.853が搭載されています。このムーブメントは、IWCが誇るペラトン方式の自動巻機構を採用。爪による両回転巻き上げを実現しており、その効率性と信頼性の高さは現在でも高い評価を得ています。ビーズが転がるような独特の巻き上げ音は、このムーブメントならではの特徴です。

ケースには細かい使用傷が2～3箇所見られるものの、側面やラグにはエッジがしっかりと残っており、良好なコンディションを維持しています。ガラスには傷がなく、エイジングにより温かみを増したダイヤルの表情をそのまま楽しめます。針には若干のくすみが見られますが、ヴィンテージらしい趣のあるアクセントとして機能しています。インデックスは鏡面のファセットが美しく残っており、輝きを損なっていません。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

An IWC featuring a Calatrava-style case. While inspired by the Patek Philippe Calatrava from which its name originates, this piece carries IWC’s signature sense of order and refinement. Beneath its understated design lies a meticulous attention to detail. The faceted dauphine hands, raised torpedo-shaped indices, shimmering pearl-drop minute markers, and subdued pearl-white dial all harmonize beautifully, creating a sense of perfect balance. The absence of a date display and luminous elements further enhances its sophisticated appearance.  

At its heart is IWC’s in-house Cal. 853 movement, featuring the brand’s renowned Pellaton automatic winding system. Utilizing pawls to wind in both directions, this mechanism is celebrated for its efficiency and reliability, maintaining its high reputation even today. The distinctively smooth winding sound, reminiscent of rolling beads, is a unique characteristic of this caliber.  

The case remains in excellent condition, with well-preserved edges on the sides and lugs, though minor usage marks are present in a few spots. The crystal is free of scratches, allowing the warm patina of the dial’s aging to be fully appreciated. While the hands show slight tarnishing, this only adds to the vintage charm of the watch. The indices retain their faceted mirror finish, preserving their brilliance. The watch has been disassembled and serviced by our company.
