COMMENT

1968年製造の、ロゴが盾に切り替わる直前の小バラロゴを備えたオイスターデイト。サンレイ仕上げのシルバーダイヤルにはバーハンドとバーインデックスが採用され、クラシカルでありながら視認性の高さが際立ちます。特にインデックスの上面には黒い塗料が施され、読時性能が向上しています。ブレスレットはロレックス純正、フォールデッドのオイスターブレスレットRef.7835、エンドリンク261、クラスプデイト71/2です。

ケースは使用に伴う傷こそありますが、プロポーションは非常に良好で、裏蓋の刻印や溝もしっかりと残っています。ダイヤルはエイジングのやけ感はほとんどど見られず、肉眼では気にならない程度です。針には若干のくすみが見られますが、光を受けるときらめく状態を保っています。インデックスのプリントはくっきりとしており、視認性を損なうことなく美観を維持しています。弊社にて分解掃除済みです。

日本では長い間、正規取扱店のなかったチュードル。2018年10月に「チューダー」として再上陸し、メーカーの力の入れ具合にエナジーを感じます。今後さらなる注目を浴びるブランドであることは間違いないでしょう。

1930年代に＜ROLEX＞のディフュージョンブランドとして誕生。素晴らしい製造技術を誇りながらも、時計製造コストが高く認知度が低かった＜ROLEX＞に対して、低価格で一般庶民に親しまれた＜TUDOR＞。結果的には＜TUDOR＞が世間に認められたことで、＜ROLEX＞の認知度は急激に高まり、＜ROLEX＞は現在の「世界的に有名」なブランドとして認められるようになりました。

COMMENT

This 1968 Tudor Oysterdate predates the transition to the shield logo, featuring the classic small rose emblem. The sunburst-finished silver dial is paired with bar hands and bar indices, offering a timeless aesthetic with exceptional legibility. The indices are further enhanced by a black lacquer coating on their upper surfaces, improving readability. It is accompanied by a Rolex-signed folded Oyster bracelet (Ref. 7835) with 261 end links and a clasp date stamped 71/2, maintaining its period-correct appeal.  

The case exhibits minor scratches consistent with use but retains excellent proportions, with the case back engravings and grooves remaining sharp and well-defined. The dial shows minimal patina, with some light discoloration that blends seamlessly into its vintage character. The hands have slight tarnishing, yet they retain a shimmering quality when exposed to light. The printed indices are crisp and clear, preserving both readability and aesthetic integrity. Fully serviced by our team, this watch is in optimal working condition.  

In Japan, Tudor lacked official retail representation for many years, but the brand’s return in October 2018 under the name "Tudor" marked a new era of heightened visibility and recognition. With a renewed focus and growing momentum, Tudor is undoubtedly a brand poised to capture even greater attention moving forward.
