COMMENT

メイドインイングランドの9金無垢ケースを採用した「ROYAL」。ケースはイギリス市場専用に供給されていたデニソン社製で、ラウンド型、ラグには3面ファセットが施されています。ダイヤルはマットホワイト、外周にギョシェ模様が刻まれ、視認性に優れたリーフ針とアラビア数字インデックスを組み合わせたデザインです。ムーブメントには、ETA1080を基にブラッシュアップされたCal.1156を搭載。当時チュードルが多用していた信頼性の高いキャリバーであり、パーツ供給が容易な点からメンテナンス性にも優れています。

ケースは傷が少なく、目を見張る良好なコンディションを保っています。裏蓋にはわずかな打痕がありますが、着用時に目立つことはありません。ダイヤルにはエイジングによる黒ずみが見られますが、1950年代の時計としては十分に良好な部類。針やインデックスにはくすみがほとんどなく、透明感ある状態を維持しています。さらに、弊社にて分解掃除済みで、安心してお使いいただけます。

デニソンケースはロレックスやオメガといった高級ブランドも採用しており、その品質と希少性が特長です。イギリス国内市場向けの生産が中心で、国外輸出がほとんどなかったため、コレクターから高い評価を受けています。主に程よいサイズ感のラウンド型とクッション型ケースを製造しており、カジュアルからフォーマルまで幅広いスタイルに合わせられる点も魅力です。歴史あるデニソンケースと上質なムーブメントが織り成すこの時計は、気品と個性を兼ね備えた特別な一本として、手元に寄り添うパートナーとなることでしょう。

BRAND

1926年にROLEXのイギリス普及拡大のため誕生したディフュージョンブランド。ブランド名もイギリスの名門『チューダー家』にちなんだもので市民に親しみやすさをアピールしようとしていたことが窺い知れる。ヴィンテージチュードル人気のポイントはやはり、ケースやリューズなどROLEXのパーツが使われていること、チューダー家の薔薇の紋章をロゴに採用したことでロレックスと同じケースながら、ダイアルにはバラのロゴが配された“デカバラ”や“小バラ”と呼ばれるチュードル独自の人気モデルが誕生した。その後チュードルはロゴを盾をモチーフにしたものに変更し現在ではROLEXからは離れ、独自路線を進むことになる。

COMMENT 

The "ROYAL" features a solid 9-karat gold case made in England, crafted by the renowned Dennison company exclusively for the UK market. The round case showcases refined craftsmanship, with triple-faceted lugs adding a touch of elegance. The matte white dial is accented with guilloché patterns on the outer ring, combining high legibility with its sleek leaf hands and Arabic numeral indices for a timeless, sophisticated design. Powering this watch is the Caliber 1156, an enhanced version of the reliable ETA 1080, widely utilized by Tudor during the period. This movement is celebrated for its durability and ease of maintenance, thanks to readily available spare parts.  

The case remains in excellent condition with minimal wear, showcasing a well-preserved structure. While the case back displays minor dents, they are hardly noticeable when worn. The dial shows slight aging with a subtle patina, yet retains its appeal as a vintage piece from the 1950s. The hands and indices exhibit no significant tarnishing, maintaining their clarity and luster. The timepiece has undergone complete servicing at our workshop and is ready for immediate use.  

Dennison cases were also employed by prestigious brands like Rolex and Omega, reflecting their exceptional quality and rarity. As production was primarily intended for the UK market with little to no exports, these cases are highly regarded among collectors. Their versatility, ranging from round to cushion-shaped designs, makes them suitable for both casual and formal occasions. This timepiece seamlessly blends the historical significance of Dennison craftsmanship with a high-quality movement, making it a distinctive and elegant companion for your wrist.  

BRAND

Tudor was established in 1926 as a diffusion brand to expand Rolex's presence in the UK. The brand name was derived from the prestigious Tudor family, showing its intention to be approachable to the public. The appeal of vintage Tudor models lies in the use of Rolex parts, such as the case and crown, and the incorporation of the Tudor family rose emblem into the logo. Popular models, such as the "Big Rose" and "Small Rose," were born, offering the same cases as Rolex but with distinctive Tudor dials. Over time, Tudor changed its logo to a shield motif and now follows its own independent path, separate from Rolex.
