LONGINES Water Proof Flyback Chronograph Ref.7413 Cal.30CH

COMMENT

Power reserve: 43時間
Amplitude: 321°
Daily rate: +3

Longines, a top-tier name in vintage watchmaking, showcases its unparalleled craftsmanship and design prowess in this model featuring the in-house flyback chronograph movement "Cal.30CH." Unlike many vintage chronographs, this piece is housed in a water-resistant case with a screw-back design. The silver sunburst dial, adorned with multi-colored tachymeter and telemeter scales, exudes both elegance and modernity. Uniquely, the luminous dots are not applied to the dial but to the tension ring securing the crystal, a rare feature occasionally seen in Longines watches.

The Cal.30CH movement is an evolution of the renowned Cal.13ZN, another in-house Longines masterpiece. While other chronograph movements like Omega's Cal.321 or Venus 178 rely on spring-loaded reset hammers, the 30CH employs a direct pressure mechanism, making its flyback function more intuitive and reliable.

The case features well-preserved, sharp edges on the lugs, reflecting excellent proportions. Its overall condition is remarkable, with minimal signs of wear, giving it a clean and polished appearance. The dial remains pristine, showcasing a beautiful silver finish without any signs of aging. Both the hands and indexes are in immaculate condition, reflecting light brilliantly. Furthermore, the luminous material on the hands and tension ring shows no discoloration, retaining a crisp white tone.

In the realm of vintage watches, preserving the original state of well-maintained pieces is paramount. Servicing decisions are often left to the next owner to maintain the integrity and value of such timepieces. Improper servicing may alter painted or finished components, requiring a delicate approach. At our shop, we sell watches in their current condition without performing additional servicing. Below are the results of our operational tests:

Power reserve: 43 hours
Amplitude: 321°
Daily rate: +3 seconds
Chronograph function: Operating normally

The Cal.30CH, produced from the 1950s to the 1970s, is regarded as one of the finest manual-winding chronograph movements ever created. This particular model, housed in a 38mm waterproof case—the largest size for the 30CH—is especially coveted. Experience a historic masterpiece that epitomizes the legacy of Longines.
