Ref.1680は、1967年から1980年の間に生産された初のデイト付きサブマリーナーです。特に1975年までに生産された「SUBMARINER」の文字が赤い「赤サブ」に対し、本品は後期型の「白サブ」にあたります。この白サブのマーク3ダイヤルは、マーク1ダイヤルと同様にレムリッチ社製。マーク3ダイヤルは、Ref.1680の中でも製造割合が10%未満と言われており、希少性の高い仕様です。ベゼルは1969年から1979年までの間に製造されたマーク3ベゼルを備え、後期型のシャープ4からわずかにフラットな形状へと移行する過渡期の特徴が見られる個体です。クラスプコード「L2」のダブル無垢ブレスRef.93150にエンドリンク580番を装備し、オリジナル性の高いセットとなっています。
