Ref.1003のエンジンターンドベゼルに対し、こちらのRef.1002はより洗練されたスムースベゼル仕様です。薄型ケースに丸みを帯びたドーム型風防が組み合わされ、柔らかく手首に沿う装着感をもたらします。シルバーのサンレイ仕上げが施されたダイヤルは、光の角度によって穏やかに表情を変え、バーインデックスとバーハンドの組み合わせがシンプルかつ整然とした印象を与えます。夜光を排したデザインながら、3・6・9時位置のインデックスに厚みを持たせることで視認性を確保。ブレスレットはリベット仕様のオイスターブレスレットRef.7205、エンドリンク57、クラスプデイト2/70を装備しています。

Its slim Oyster case is paired with a domed acrylic crystal, offering a soft curvature that sits comfortably on the wrist. The silver sunburst dial subtly changes expression with the light, while the combination of bar indexes and baton hands creates a balanced and understated look. Though devoid of luminous material, the thicker indexes at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock ensure excellent legibility. It is fitted with a riveted Oyster bracelet Ref.7205, end links 57, and a clasp dated 2/70, completing the period-correct configuration.

Inside, it houses the chronometer-rated Cal.1570, produced from the mid-1960s through the late 1980s—an exceptionally well-balanced movement known for its accuracy and durability, regarded as one of Rolex’s finest automatic calibers.

The case remains in superb condition, retaining its crisp edges and mirror-polished surfaces. The bezel shines with deep luster, enhancing the watch’s elegant character.
