1963年製のオメガ シーマスター Ref.166.011-63 SCです。当時の標準的なメンズウォッチよりひと回り大きい、約36mmのケースを採用した通称「ジャンボ」。滑らかなラウンドベゼルに、長く伸びた多面カットのラグを組み合わせ、端正さの中に力強さを感じさせるプロポーションです。シルバーダイヤルには縦方向のサテン仕上げが施され、放射状に光を反射するサンレイとは異なる、静かで均一な質感を楽しめます。立体的なバーインデックスと鋭いドーフィンハンド、ファセットを切り替えたデイト窓を配置。針とダイヤルのいずれにも夜光塗料を使用しない、珍しいノンルミナス仕様です。

ダイヤルは変色や目立つ傷が見られず、ミントコンディションを保っています。繊細な縦方向の仕上げと各種プリントは鮮明で、アプライドのΩロゴ、針、インデックスにもくすみがほとんどなく、鏡面の輝きが瑞々しく残っています。ケースにはごく軽微な使用傷が見られるものの、ラグ先端のファセットと稜線は明瞭で、ジャンボケース本来の伸びやかなシルエットを維持。Ωマーク入りリューズや、シーホースメダリオンを備えたスクリューバックも良好な状態です。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントは、赤銅色の仕上げが美しい24石の自動巻Cal.562を搭載。毎時19,800振動で作動するオメガ500番台の代表的なデイト付きキャリバーで、両方向巻き上げの高い実用性と、整備性に優れた堅牢な設計で知られています。針を日付変更時間帯の前後で往復させることで日付を進められる、セミクイック式の日付修正機構も備えています。存在感のある36mmケースでありながら、ノンルミナスの端正なダイヤルによってドレス感を失わず、初期シーマスターらしい品格と実用性を高い水準で両立した一本です。

Produced in 1963, this Omega Seamaster Ref.166.011-63 SC is commonly known as the “Jumbo,” with an approximately 36mm case that was notably larger than the standard men’s watches of its period. A smooth rounded bezel is paired with long, multifaceted lugs, creating proportions that are both composed and substantial. The silver dial has a vertical satin finish, offering a calm, even texture distinct from the radial reflections of a sunburst dial. Applied baton indexes, sharply defined dauphine hands, and a faceted date aperture complete the layout. Unusually, neither the hands nor the dial indexes use luminous material.

The dial remains in mint condition, with no noticeable discoloration or damage. Its fine vertical finish and printed details remain crisp, while the applied Ω emblem, hands, and indexes show almost no tarnishing and retain their bright polished surfaces. The case displays only very minor scratches from use, with the facets and defined lines at the tips of the lugs remaining sharp. Its elongated Jumbo-case silhouette is well preserved. The Ω-signed crown and screw-down case back with seahorse medallion are also in good condition. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Inside is the 24-jewel automatic Cal.562, finished in Omega’s characteristic copper tone. Operating at 19,800 vibrations per hour, it is one of the principal date-equipped movements of Omega’s 500-series, known for efficient bidirectional winding, robust construction, and straightforward servicing. It also features a semi-quick-set date, advanced by moving the hands back and forth across the date-change point. Despite its substantial 36mm case, the restrained non-luminous dial maintains a distinctly dress-oriented appearance, combining the refinement and practical functionality associated with early Seamaster models.
