18Kホワイトゴールド製のピアジェ Ref.12314です。ケースのベゼルとシルバーダイヤルの双方に、細かなピラミッド状の装飾を連続させたクル・ド・パリ仕上げを施しています。光を受ける角度によって緻密な陰影が生まれ、同一の装飾でありながらケースとダイヤルで異なる表情を見せます。細身のバーハンドと簡潔なラインインデックスを配したノンデイトの2針仕様で、装飾性の高い外装を端正にまとめています。ピアジェ純正の18Kホワイトゴールド製バックルが付属します。

ケースは使用感がほとんど見られない極上のコンディションです。シャープなストレートラグやケースサイドの稜線は明瞭で、ベゼルの繊細なクル・ド・パリ仕上げも摩耗することなく鮮明に残っています。ダイヤルにも目立つエイジングはなく、細かな彫りと各種プリント、針およびインデックスの状態はいずれも良好です。裏蓋には販売当時の青い保護シールが残されており、本個体が大切に保管されてきたことを示す重要なポイントです。

ムーブメントは、1960年に発表された薄型自動巻キャリバーCal.12Pを搭載。厚さ2.3mmのムーブメント内部に24Kゴールド製マイクロローターを組み込むことで、薄型化と自動巻機構を両立しています。発表当時、世界最薄の自動巻ムーブメントとして知られた、ピアジェを象徴する名機です。クル・ド・パリをケースとダイヤルの双方に用いた凝った外装に、歴史的なCal.12Pを収め、さらに販売時の保護シールまで残す、保存状態に優れた一本です。

The Piaget Ref.12314 is crafted in 18K white gold. Both the bezel and silver dial are finished with a Clous de Paris pattern, formed by a continuous series of finely executed pyramidal motifs. The precise texture creates subtle variations of light and shadow, giving the case and dial distinct appearances despite sharing the same decorative treatment. Slender baton hands and simple line indexes complete the clean, no-date, two-hand layout, bringing balance to the more decorative exterior. A Piaget-signed 18K white gold buckle is included.

The case remains in exceptional condition, with virtually no signs of use. The sharp straight lugs and defined case-side edges are clearly preserved, while the delicate Clous de Paris finish on the bezel remains crisp and free from noticeable wear. The dial shows no prominent signs of aging, and its fine engraving, printed details, hands, and indexes are all well preserved. The original blue protective sticker remains on the case back, an important detail reflecting how carefully the watch has been stored.

Inside is the ultra-thin automatic Cal.12P, introduced in 1960. Measuring just 2.3mm thick, it incorporates a 24K gold micro-rotor within the movement, combining automatic winding with an exceptionally slim profile. At the time of its introduction, it was known as the world’s thinnest automatic movement and remains one of Piaget’s defining calibres. With its Clous de Paris treatment extending across both the case and dial, the historically significant Cal.12P, and the original protective sticker still intact, this is a remarkably well-preserved example.
