COMMENT

1960年代後半に製造されたオメガ シーマスター Ref.166.032です。当時としては大ぶりな約36.5mm径のケースに、厚みのあるフラットベゼルと力強く張り出したラグを組み合わせています。ベゼル上面には放射状のヘアラインを施し、ラグの多面的なカッティングとの対比によって立体感を強調。シルバーのサンレイダイヤルには、ブラックラインを入れたバーインデックスとバーハンドを配置し、3時位置には曜日と日付を横一列に表示するデイデイト窓を備えています。60年代らしい端正な構成に、後の70年代を先取りした力強い外装を組み合わせた過渡期的なデザインです。

ケースには使用に伴う細かな傷が見られますが、ラグの稜線や各面の切り替えは明瞭に残り、全体のプロポーションは良好です。特にフラットベゼルには放射状のヘアラインがしっかりと残り、ケースサイドとの境界も鮮明です。ダイヤルには微細な経年変化が見られるものの、サンレイ仕上げと各種プリントは良好に保たれています。針、インデックス、アプライドのΩロゴにも目立つ傷やメッキの剥がれはなく、ブラックラインとのコントラストが端正な表情を引き締めています。弊社にて分解清掃済みです。

ムーブメントは24石の自動巻Cal.752を搭載。安定した巻き上げ性能を持つCal.750系のデイデイトムーブメントで、日付にはリューズ操作による早送り機能を備え、曜日は針を進めて調整します。 実用的なデイデイト機能と、当時としては大きめのケースサイズ、造形のはっきりした外装を併せ持つ、ヴィンテージ・シーマスターの中でも個性の明確な一本です。

COMMENT

Produced in the late 1960s, this Omega Seamaster Ref.166.032 features a substantial case measuring approximately 36.5mm in diameter, relatively large for the period. A broad, flat bezel is paired with strongly projecting lugs, while radial brushing across the bezel contrasts with the multifaceted lug construction to emphasize the depth of the case. The silver sunburst dial is fitted with baton indexes and hands accented by black inserts, together with a horizontal day-date display at 3 o’clock. Its restrained 1960s dial is combined with a more substantial case that anticipates the stronger forms of the following decade.

The case shows fine scratches from use, though the ridges of the lugs and the transitions between its various surfaces remain clearly defined, preserving good overall proportions. The radial brushing on the flat bezel is particularly well retained, as is the boundary between the bezel and case sides. The dial displays minor aging, while its sunburst finish and printed details remain well preserved. The hands, indexes, and applied Ω emblem show no notable scratches or loss of plating, and their black accents give the dial a clean, clearly defined appearance. Fully serviced by our watchmaker.

Inside is the 24-jewel automatic Cal.752, a day-date movement from Omega’s Cal.750 family known for its efficient winding performance. The date can be advanced quickly through the crown, while the day is adjusted by advancing the hands. Combining practical day-date functionality with a relatively large case and sharply articulated construction, this is a distinctive example within the vintage Seamaster range.
