1950年代に製造されたRef.3950、通称“Cioccolatone（チョコラトーネ）”は、オメガがミッドセンチュリー期に発表した大型スクエアケースのドレスモデルです。ケースは18Kイエローゴールド製で、31 × 31mmのツーピース構造。柔らかな膨らみを持たせたクッションフォルムに、外周へ向けてラグが伸びる立体的な造形が特徴です。ダイヤルはブラックギョーシェダイヤルで、レターは全てギルトです。搭載ムーブメントはCal.344。ローターが半回転する「バンパー式」自動巻きで、手巻きから自動巻きへの転換期を象徴する構造を採用しています。

The case, crafted from 18K yellow gold, measures 31 × 31 mm with a two-piece construction. Its softly domed cushion shape and outwardly extending lugs create a distinctive, sculptural presence. The dial features an elegant black guilloché pattern with fully gilt lettering, while inside beats the Cal.344, a bumper automatic movement whose semi-rotor design represents the transitional period between manual and full automatic winding systems.

The case retains its ideal proportions and shows exceptional preservation, with fine original brushing still visible on the caseback. Hallmarks beneath the lugs remain sharp, and the faceted contours are well-defined. The movement holder is engraved with the number “378,” matching the final digits of the caseback serial, confirming full originality. The dial shows virtually no signs of aging, and both hands and indexes retain their mirrored polish.
