OMEGA Seamaster Ref.166.010 Black Gilt Dial

COMMENT

HIGHLIGHT

Black Gilt Dial

COMMENT

A well-balanced and finely crafted Omega Seamaster with an appealing case thickness and size. The black gilt dial employs an undercoating method for both letters and minute markers. The combination of dauphine hands and applied bar indexes creates a robust and powerful impression. Luminous material is applied to the center, presenting a masculine combination with the black dial. The case belongs to the Seamaster 2nd generation, forming a unified line with the side of the lugs. The wide bezel and sturdy lugs, while simple, contribute to a design with a strong presence. The bracelet features rice bead links, Ref.1502, and end links 511. The Caliber 565, equipped with a unique mechanism to change the date by pulling the crown in two stages, showcases the brand's manufacturing capabilities with an in-house developed movement.

The case, with small scratches resembling badges, adds a rugged atmosphere. The extensive mirror polishing contributes to a glossy metal luster that captivates the entire watch. The dial exhibits slight aging, revealing hints of brown on the undercoating in some areas. The hands and indexes maintain a strong, untarnished shine, with luminous material in the finest beige color. The bracelet consists of fixed links ranging from 6 to 9, featuring the taper typical of that time. Having undergone disassembly and cleaning at our shop, it is ready for immediate use upon purchase.

The black dial adds versatility, making it a standout piece suitable for various occasions, from casual to formal wear.
