Railmaster
Introduced in 1957, the Railmaster was developed as an antimagnetic watch for professionals working in environments exposed to strong magnetic fields, including railway workers, engineers, and technicians. Launched in the same year as the SPEEDMASTER and SEAMASTER 300, it became one of OMEGA’s defining professional watches of the period.
Vintage Railmaster watches are characterized by highly legible black dials with large Arabic numerals and luminous indexes, together with internal construction designed to improve resistance to magnetism. With a relatively short original production run and limited surviving examples, the Railmaster occupies a distinctive place among OMEGA’s tool watches of the 1950s.
